Lissa Hamer
Lissa Hamer concentrates her practice in civil litigation. She has successfully defended cases with serious injuries such as death, dismemberment, and paralysis. She also has experience in premises liability, false arrest/intentional infliction, and medical malpractice. Ms. Hamer has extensive trial experience in DuPage, Kane, McHenry, Winnebago, and DeKalb Counties, the large majority of which resulted in defense verdicts. She has recently been recognized by her peers as a Leading Lawyer in the area of personal injury defense.
Ms. Hamer also has extensive arbitration experience, having participated in more than 75 personal injury arbitrations. She has been a repeat guest lecturer at Northern Illinois University's College of Law on the topic of negotiations and settlements, and currently serves as Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the Kane County Bar Association. As well, she has been invited as a guest speaker at Harper College on HIPAA applications to students in health-associated field. In the uninsured/underinsured arena, Ms. Hamer has been selected as an arbitrator on numerous occasions.
Ms. Hamer is a licensed medical technologist and toxicologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Prior to law school, she worked at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston as assistant supervisor of toxicology dept. diagnosing and developing treatment protocols for drug overdoses and therapeutic drug monitoring.

Representative Matters
Ms. Hamer has represented regional and national retailers in premises liability matters including negligent maintenance claims, false arrest/intentional infliction, defamation, and failure to protect from hostile third parties, among others. Ms. Hamer has experience evaluating claims for minor soft tissue injuries as well as complex injuries such as dismemberment and paralysis, which may include societal factors, quality of life, and ability to work.
Brian M. Begley
Brian M. Begley is one of the Founding Partners of Jendryk, Farmans, Hamer & Begley, LLC. Mr. Begley focuses his practice on automobile defense, premises liability and condemnation matters. He has an extensive practice and knowledge in the areas of insurance defense, civil litigation, and UM/UIM matters. Mr. Begley has tried to jury verdict numerous cases across jurisdictions in Northern Illinois. Mr. Begley is also a certified arbitrator and active in the field of alternative dispute resolution. He has recently been awarded the designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (C.L.M.P.) in the field of Insurance Defense Litigation.
Mr. Begley is married and the father of two children Conner and Morgan. He is also an active member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for the Village of Orland Park, Illinois.

James Ryan
James Ryan's practice at Jendryk, Farmans, Hamer and Begley focuses is on an active litigation defense at the state and federal trial and appellate court levels. He has successfully defended a number of arbitrations and trials. where he represented clients and insureds in the areas of personal injury and insurance defense law, encompassing automobile accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, real estate agents/broker liability, and medical malpractice defense.
Mr. Ryan's goal is always to bring a matter to a favorable conclusion for his client be it through trial or an alternative dispute resolution.

James S. Jendryk
James Jendryk concentrates his legal practice in commercial, construction, personal injury, and medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. He searches for innovative methods to resolve cases including substantial use of alternative dispute resolution and structured settlements.
Mr. Jendryk is qualified as a Chairperson Arbitrator for the Du Page County Mandatory Arbitration System and has also been appointed by the Chief Judge as a mediator in Du Page County’s Court-Annexed Mediation Program.
Mr. Jendryk is a former member of the Du Page County Bar Association Board of Directors and past Chairman of the Du Page County Medical-Legal Committee and a former member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee.

David B. Reeves
David Reeves’ practice at Jendryk, Hamer & Begley, focuses on defense litigation at the state and federal trial, arbitration and appellate court levels. He has successfully defended numerous trial and arbitration matters representing clients and insureds in the areas of personal injury insurance defense law in areas encompassing automobile accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, underinsured and uninsured motorist litigation.
Mr. Reeves has extensive trial experience in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will and LaSalle Counties and defended litigation in a vast area of Chicagoland and the collar counties at large.
Mr. Reeves further has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution matters and mediation. Mr. Reeves’ goal in litigation is to achieve successful and cost-effective litigation to the satisfaction of his clients, whether by means of trial, settlement or alternative dispute resolution.
